In my eyes, this mountain lake is one of the most beautiful Austria has to offer. Drachensee lies like a pearl at our feet, glowing in different shades of turquoise as we descend the steep, rocky trail from Grünsteinscharte. We’re right in the heart of the Mieminger Kette in Tyrol, and while the lake is the highlight of the hike, our tour is far from over.
